NUM TIME COMMENT
1 11:50 TAB HIGHWAY HANDICAP 1400m
Strong tempo, primarily from I Am Steffi and Yiasou. WAYBURN (1) stretches out to this trip for the first time after he savaged the line when a month between runs to finish sixth to Lord Remlap over 1200m at Randwick last Saturday. Has solid top three prospects. XTREME (9) progressive gelding who doesn't have to improve much to win this. Tough again second up when he powered late for a game third over 1400m at this track. Key jockey change and can race close. Hard to hold out. BRUTAL MISS (15) progressing well and relished the extra trip with a narrow win over 1400m at the Gold Coast in C1 class. Returned solid figures on that occasion and looks up to this. I AM STEFFI (14) keeps raising the bar on the country tracks and has earned her shot in town after winning at her last three starts. Will push forward and give plenty of cheek. NIMBLE STAR (6) raced without luck in this grade in his three runs back and keep safe over the extra ground.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 1,9,15,14.
2 12:25 MIDWAY HANDICAP 1200m
Let's Go Again is expected to burn across and lead from the wide draw. Nathan Doyle holds the key to the race with three leading chances. BETTER LATE (11) bounced off his unlucky first-up second, with a commanding on-pace win from the wide gate over 1200m at Beaumont (Newcastle). Maps well and can progress quickly this prep. HEROIC DEED (4) is building a tidy win record with three victories from four starts. Rounded up a decent field last start to salute as fav over 1200m at Warwick Farm in this class. Hard to stop in this vein of form and Morgan sticks. FORMAL (7) comes here deep into the prep with the key jockey change. Yet to win past 1100m but gets his chance with the fast early tempo. VETWELVE (8) can pull out a big run fresh after the two sound trials.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 11,4,7,8.
3 01:00 CHANDON HANDICAP 2400m
Without a great deal of early pace evident Appeared may lead the way over Golden Century. KENMARE BAY (5) holding his form this time in and gives every indication this distance range will suit. Wound up nicely from near last on the turn when third to the exciting Aethelwulf over 2000m at this track. Comes here in peak condition and shapes as the value play. APPEARED (3) talented import undefeated in his two Australian starts. Didn't beat much as fav with a fighting neck win over 2200m in a BM72 at Warwick Farm. Tongue tie goes on and looks under the odds at his current price. GOLDEN CENTURY (4) hot and cold stayer who ran a much better race when he circled the field for a tough third over this trip at Randwick. Smaller field suits and sure to be thereabouts. SEO LINN (7) finally gave us a glimpse of what she's capable of at her fourth Australian start. Respect.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Kenmare Bay should appreciate this trip.
4 01:35 PRECISE AIR HANDICAP 1800m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Mukhtalif leading the way. MUKHTALIF (7) lightly raced gelding with the upside to make an impression in the spring. Gripped on in the heavy going from the wide gate to finish sixth over 1600m at Sandown-Hillside first up. Cross over nose band goes on and will take catching with the high cruising speed. Will appreciate the firmer surface. ANTHRACITE (10) consistent gelding due for a change of luck this prep. Comes out of a strong contest after proving no match for Aethelwulf when second over 2000m at this track. Can stalk the speed and expected to be around the money again. BOLD MAC (1) races best over the 1800m and gets his preferred surface today. Never suited at Hawkesbury when he drifted back early to finish eighth over 1600m in the LR Hawkesbury Rowley Mile. Well drawn and can surprise at the big odds. SAVISANTA (8) needed the run first up with a plugging twelfth over 1400m at Caulfield on the soft (7) surface. Excellent run in the SA Derby last May and worth thought. FURIOUS (9) stays in the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Mukhtalif has the figures to take this out.
5 02:15 BISLEY WORKWEAR HANDICAP 1500m
They should run this along with Puntin and Jamberoo taking it up over Scripted. SCRIPTED (13) peaked on the run second up when she gave weight to Transcend for a close up third over 1500m at this track. Gets the services of Rawiller and the addition of winkers can do the trick. No shock to see her turn the tables. TRANSCEND (8) starting to hit her straps after she sat outside the leader to get up in a thrilling finish over this course and distance third up. Has further improvement and can stalk the good tempo. BESIDE THE OCEAN (10) slashing performance at her second run back when carving out slick closing splits to run fourth to Transcend. Gets a more genuine tempo here. Has top three prospects. MR VERSE (3) shouldered the 60kg second up for a respectable fifth over 1400m at this track from a wide gate. Gets a better set up and will be doing his best work late. SILVANITO (6) holding his form and gets map favours at the good each way price.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Scripted strips fitter and will appreciate the services of Nash Rawiller.
6 02:50 MYPLATES MING DYNASTY QUALITY 1400m
I'm Ya Huckleberry and Savagram to take up the running at a strong tempo. Tricky race. GENESIS RUNNER (9) returned in good shape when he stalked the pace for a closing second over 1300m in the G3 Up and Coming Stakes at this track. Well placed again and will keep finding on the limit. TENENBAUM (5) progressive colt held in high regard by the stable. Lugged the 61kg first up for an authoritative win over 1200m at Canterbury. Drops 7kg today and ticks plenty of boxes at the each way price. HIDRIX (3) Group 3 winner on debut last January and looks to have strengthened over the break. Took on the older horses first up with a respectable fifth over 1200m at Randwick in BM78 class. Value player ready for the extra ground. STORMY MARCO (2) won the Clarendon on debut, then should have finished much closer when third in the G1 J J Atkins over 1600m at Eagle Farm last June. Back with the one trial and will be strong late. PERSIAN WONDER (7) comes here with a massive fitness edge fourth up. Proven at this trip and no shock to see him win.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Trifecta 9,5,3,2,7.
7 03:25 IRRESISTIBLE POOLS SHERACO STAKES 1200m
Weeping Woman and Savvy Hallie possess good early speed. APOCALYPTIC (3) started hard in the market on resumption with a closing third over 1100m in the G3 Toy Show Quality at Randwick. Desperate to get out in trip and gets the economical run from the rails draw. Top three contender. LAZZURA (2) Coolmore winner resuming. Comes to hand early in the prep and wasn't knocked around in her two trials. Gets the right run and will take holding out. WEEPING WOMAN (8) resumes. Rewarded for her consistency with a dominant win in the G3 Triscay Stakes at Randwick over this trip last February. Looks to have gone to another level after the two recent trial wins. Leading player. GANGSTA GRANNY (5) can make the necessary improvement.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 3,2,8.
8 04:00 YULONG RUN TO THE ROSE 1200m
Genuine tempo with Plagiarism leading the way. ST GOTTHARD (7) highly rated colt resuming. Thrown in the deep end at his second race start with a breathtaking 4-len win over 1200m at the Gold Coast in the G3 Ken Russell last May. No excuses from the draw and can remain undefeated. WARWOVEN (5) fast colt plagued by wide gates at his last two outings. Snagged back to last first up before carving out good closing splits when fifth in the G3 San Domenico Stakes over 1100m at this track. Expecting a more positive ride today. Respect. PLAGIARISM (8) took control early with a slick win in the G3 Up and Coming Stakes at this track over 1300m. Sure to give a ton of cheek again. CENTRAL EUROPE (11) placed at all three starts in stakes grade and will keep improving as he gets out in trip this time in. Closed well first up when third in the LR The Rosebud over 1100m here. Desperate for the fast tempo and gets the services of the in-form Zac Lloyd. BERZELIUS (3) is going better than his price suggests  SUGGESTED PLAY: St Gotthard is a colt with untapped potential who can go all the way.
9 04:40 TOYOTA FORKLIFTS THEO MARKS STAKES 1300m
Sandpaper is the likely leader at a slick tempo. Messy race on paper with the bulk of the field resuming. SKYHOOK (6) underrated entire resuming with the ability to overcome the wide gate. Put his rivals to the sword with a slick winner of the G3 Gunsynd over 1600m on heavy track last June. Primed with the two trials and expected to go close. VERONA ROSE (7) good fresh mare proven at this level. Won the Guy Walter last February and returns with just the one trial over 742m. Will get back in the run and look for a Zac Lloyd special. ENCAP (9) yet to win first up but looks to have returned with much more purpose after the two solid trials. Has been heavily supported since markets first went up and not without top four prospects. MIDNIGHT IN TOKYO (5) took control early with residual fitness on her side for a gritty win in the G3 Show County Quality over 1200m at Randwick. That form has since been franked and goes just as well at this trip. LORD OF BISCAY (13) can run a big race fresh on the limit.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Skyhook can assert his class and overcome the wide gate.
10 05:15 ROSEHILL BOWLING CLUB HANDICAP 1200m
Pillow Fight and Theblade possess good early speed. RUINATION (10) justified the heavy support into favouritism on resumption with a slogging on speed win over 1100m at Canterbury in the soft (7) conditions. Well regarded by the stable and can go on with the job now. SOVEREIGN HILL (5) raced without luck first up, then stalked the speed to salute at the good odds defeating Ernaux over 1200m at Randwick. That form has since been franked and sure to be thereabouts. EAGLE EXPRESS (6) scored a long overdue win first up with the 52kg over 1200m at this track. Kept up to the mark with a trial and stays in the mix. KARINSKA (9) handy return and don't dismiss with the claim.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Ruination can drop on them late.
