Kicked off the last campaign in good style, finishing runner-up in a maiden steeplechase at Kyoto over 2910m. Expect him to be prominent. VRADIA (6) missed the frame two runs ago in a maiden steeplechase (3000m) at Tokyo. Bounced back last time when he finished second in a maiden steeplechase (3000m) at Tokyo. Capable of a another forward showing. LORD PRAYER (14) last raced in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at this track three months ago, finding one better and beaten just a head in a much better effort than the previous run. Latest run augers well for this.

ABARE RYU (5) is close to breaking through after finishing third last start over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt, his third good run from as many career appearances. Likely improver with strong prospects. RED STRAHL (11) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt. Looks well placed so expect another big run. SENJU COSMOS (13) started at $8.60 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 6 lengths at Fukushima Dirt over 1700m. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. TOKINO CAMPIONE (10) finished 24 lengths away in 14th at his last appearance over 1800m at Tokyo on June 22 after he was well back on straightening. Can do a lot better than that.

IIKUNI PASSION (6) was well fancied last start over 1200m at Fukushima when second, beaten 7 lengths. This trip suits so worth another chance. MAETERLINCK (10) wasn't far away on debut last start over 1200m at Fukushima, finishing fourth and beaten 3.5 lengths. Likely improver who is expected to be in the finish. PRETTY MIZUHO (4) didn't do a lot on debut three weeks ago, finishing 17 lengths from the winner in 13th over 1150m at Fukushima Dirt. Will take a lot from that experience. Capable of much more this time. MISS EVEREST (11) faced the starter for the first time and finished eighth last start at Fukushima over 1200m, beaten 6 lengths. Open to improvement and can feature.

PEINTRE NAIF (4) is a two-year-old colt by Kizuna out of Art Brut stepping out on debut for the Tetsuya Kimura stable. Should be primed for a strong showing. Keep an eye on betting. FORNAX (9) is a two-year-old filly by Kitasan Black out of Fourstar Crook stepping out on debut for the Yutaka Okumura stable. One to keep close tabs on, particularly if popular with punters. ART BASEL (5) is a two-year-old filly on debut from the stable of Keisuke Miyata. By Epiphaneia from Killer Beauty. Watch for a betting push. CHARMED WING (11) is a two-year-old colt on debut from the stable of Masahiro Otake. By Rulership from Charmed Veil. Pay to watch for any positive betting moves.

JURISTA (9) resumed from a spell last start with a sound third over 1150m at Fukushima Dirt. Picked up where she left off after a promising maiden campaign. Ready to go a couple better. KO OLINA LAGOON (12) stepped up in trip to 1400m last time at Tokyo Dirt and ran below her best, finishing 5.5 lengths away in fifth. Kept fresh since that last run so should prove tough to beat. MAONO CRUSH (14) is yet to break through in four runs. Finished seventh at her last appearance over 1400m at Tokyo Dirt on June 15. Solid top-three chance on her best figures. SYMPHONY SEAS (7) is a five-start maiden who is knocking on the door after a narrow defeat last start over 1150m at Fukushima Dirt after being in contention on the turn. Has her share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race.

AMPADU (5) wasted no time getting off the mark as favourite on debut over 1600m at Tokyo 14 months ago and has not been produced since. Promising type who can win again despite the long gap between runs. DANON CENTURY (1) resumes after a break of four-and-a-half months. Hoping for a repeat of his debut win over 1800m at Tokyo to kick off last prep. Solid chance. TEN MIRACLE STAR (12) impressed when successful on debut over 1600m at Tokyo 12 weeks ago and has not been produced since. Sure to play a major role. RED ROSTAM (2) is back at the races for the first time since May 10. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1400m at Chukyo. Worth plenty of thought.

WINDFALL (3) is a promising galloper who saluted at his only run last prep nine months ago over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt. Unbeaten in three starts, all when fresh. Has a formidable combination with Takuya Kowata who has been aboard for all of those wins. Expecting a bold showing. DECORATION (12) returned from a break and was on dirt for the first time last start when 2 lengths back in third over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt. Will be better for the recent experience and can play a big role. SATONO IOLITE (15) returns from a spell of four months. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when fifth over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Good record at this journey with three wins and two minor placings from seven starts and is expected to run well. JASPER GREAT (9) finished second last start at the first run back from a spell over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt, beaten 1.5 lengths. In the right race and is a winning hope.

VANARGAND (2) resumes. Didn't make an impact at his only run last prep on 29 March, finishing eighth and beaten 11 lengths over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Commendable record at this trip with a win and four minor placings and is one of the better hopes. PIXILATION (4) made good progress second-up from a break and at her first try on a dirt track when third at Fukushima Dirt over 1700m. Looked at home on this surface and will be hard to beat this time. VAL D'ORCIA (8) returns after almost a year on the sidelines. Goes well when fresh and the best figures compare well so he is right in contention. CANNELLE (9) was allowed to drift back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish seventh, beaten 4 lengths, over 2100m at Tokyo Dirt. Must be included.

ENDYMION (1) returns from a break of two months. Generally goes well when fresh, with seven minor placings from 11 attempts. Kicked off last prep with a sound third in a steeplechase at Kyoto over 3170m. Shapes up nicely - bold showing expected. ZARZARROSA (3) was most recently at the races two months ago. Closed the last campaign with a minor placing in a steeplechase (3290m) at this track, beaten 2 lengths. Sure to make her presence felt. TOULATTATTA (9) returns from a layoff of two months. Added to his solid first-up record last time in work with a minor placing at Kyoto in a 2910m maiden steeplechase. One of the better chances. MONDREISE (8) opened the campaign with a respectable third in a steeplechase (2890m) at this track then last start could only manage seventh in a steeplechase (2750m) at Fukushima 28 days ago. Sure to be thereabouts.

FARIZA (6) broke her maiden last start over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt, scoring by 5 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Looms as one of the hardest to beat again. MERCI JE T'AIME (5) will appreciate the longer journey after finishing a solid fourth when resuming last start over 1400m at Tokyo Dirt. Should settle handy in the run. Likely to feature. UNQUENCHABLE (8) returns after a spell of eight months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 1600m at Tokyo Dirt. Looks a strong top-three prospect. KAZENO TAKATOSHI (10) returned from a spell four weeks ago when he was in contention on the bend before being beaten 2.25 lengths into fourth over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt. Fitter so expect a better run this time.

GREGORIO (14) is a three-year-old colt by Epiphaneia out of Bella Voce set to debut for the Tetsuya Kimura stable. Plenty think he is ready to win, with a betting watch advised. ALA GRACIA (1) resumes from a spell of 12 weeks. Could only manage to finish fourth at the latest run over 1400m at Tokyo. Good effort to open last prep when in the money at Tokyo over 1400m. Bold showing expected. UNDER THE LIGHT (16) is going well with four minor placings from five starts this campaign. Produced another good performance last start when third over 1200m at Fukushima. Must be included on the strength of that form. ENGELSPIEL (2) is racing well including a last start fourth over 1800m at Fukushima. Yet to win at the distance but has recorded three minor placings. Worth some thought.

HARVARD SQUARE (5) is back after a break of 11 weeks. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing second at her latest appearance over 1800m at Tokyo. Can make a winning return. SARASVATI (10) has not raced since her debut back on September 7 when she finished fourth over 2000m at Nakayama. Capable of sharp improvement. OPULENT JEWEL (8) made progress last time out, finishing 2 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 2000m at Fukushima after being in contention on the corner. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. MOONSTRUCK (11) is yet to break through but has been in the money five times including last start when third over 2000m at Fukushima. Sure to run well.
