NEWCASTLE MASTER BUILDERS APPRENTICES MAIDEN PLATE 900m
Expecting Orphan Ellie to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. MISS FLEETWOOD (9) resumes from a lengthy break. Disappointed on debut when ninth over 1000m at Randwick last January. Fitted with two sound trials and look for a forward showing. LADY TALEA (8) progressed quickly at her second run back when gripping on late to run second over 900m at this track. Will get through the conditions and figure prominently. VIA FLAMINIA (10) Tivaci filly from Hurry on debut for the Kris Lees stable. Expected to make a positive debut on her home track with the two recent trials. Maps well. HO ALOHA (7) returns from a decent spell. Showed good early speed on debut before fading to run seventh over 1000m at Randwick Kensington last March. Has the two solid trials under her belt and must be kept safe. WOODROW (5) Exceed And Excel colt from Miss Wilson on debut for the Kris Lees yard. Bred to be handy and his latest trial placing had merit. SUGGESTED PLAY: Miss Fleetwood in a fairly open contest. |

SB GLASS & GLAZING SUPER MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
Not much early pace and doubt they will go hard. SIRIUS LEGEND (3) lightly raced Dundeel entire with a ton of potential. Warmed up late from back in the field on resumption when a fighting second over 1400m at Randwick Kensington. Has the upside to get off the mark today and progress quickly. LE CHOCOLAT (2) Waller-trained gelding who shouldn't be a maiden for long. Anchored with the 59kg when a respectable fourth over 1400m here second up. Adept in all conditions and finds a winnable contest. SPIRITUALISTIC (7) stirred up in her preliminary and lost her off-fore plate when a disappointing sixth over 1300m at Kembla Grange. Will handle the conditions and bounce back quickly. PRECISE STAR (9) well bred colt who made his debut with a plugging sixth over 1100m at Randwick Kensington. Looking for this trip and further now with the blinkers going on. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sirius Legend in a solid contest. |

CUSTOM BUILT PROJECTS MIDWAY 4YO&UP MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200m
Although on a small field the presence of some unraced runners should ensure a solid clip. SPIRITUALISTIC (7) stirred up in her preliminary and lost her off-fore plate when a disappointing sixth over 1300m at Kembla Grange. Will handle the conditions and bounce back quickly. NARCISSIST (2) returns from a very lengthy break. Struck trouble in the straight and his saddle shifted when an unlucky debut seventh over 1000m at Gosford back on October 26, 2023. Given the two trials in readiness for this and must be kept safe. SHE SWINGS (4) covered ground in the run and liked the way she attacked the line when fourth over 1100m at Hawkesbury first up. Comes to hand quickly and gets a better run here. UNITE THE STARS (12) fitter now after racing without luck when shuffled back further than expected to finish a fading seventh over 1000m at Gosford. Blinkers go on and sharp improvement expected from the low gate. TRIPLE TRIPLE (11) only the one placing from nine starts and drops sharply in weight here. Will go forward and give cheek. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 7,2,4,12. |

SURESCOPE CERTIFIERS BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 900m
Strong tempo from the outset as a number of them push forward, with Divine Bene, Signatories and Rockbarton Max leading the charge. NOT WRITTEN OFF (11) talented on her day and races best with her runs spaced. Stalked the good tempo when no match for Who Goes There to finish fifth over 1000m at Tamworth. Fitter now and capable of better. ELEGANT EMPRESS (4) undefeated this track and trip and back in class. No match for Romeo's Choice when sixth over 1000m at Warwick Farm. Form has since been franked and stays in the calculations. ZOOM OUTCOME (8) racing in career best form and likes to have his runs spaced. Ploughed through the heavy (8) going when saluting with the 60kg over 1000m at Taree. Ready for this harder contest with the claim. DUROVA (5) much easier assignment when a dominant 2.25 len winner over 1000m at Dubbo. Box seats and can win again. ROCKBARTON MAX (6) kept fresh after impressing on debut over this track and trip on June 28. Don't dismiss. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 11,4,8,5. |

NHS CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE 1850m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Always Shining leading the way. EMPIRE OF ART (3) stretches out in trip after making rapid improvement at his second run back when third to Hooligan Tommy over 1600m at this course. That form has since been franked and ready to win. MAMA JOY (9) relished the extra ground at her second run back when a determined maiden winner over 1600m at Kembla Grange. Doesn't get the map favours here, but sure to be thereabouts. ARDUOUS (7) demolished an average field to get off the mark at start five when a slick on pace winner over 1600m at Goulburn in the heavy going. Will go forward and play a leading role again. HAPPINESS (4) peaked third up when stalking the speed for a well-deserved maiden win over this track and trip. Penza sticks and he's expected to go on with it now. THINK ROMANCE (11) getting out to her right distance range and handles all conditions. Value chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Empire Of Art in a slogging contest. |

ALL STEEL SHEDS PROVINCIAL CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200m
Strong pace from Bethsheba and Cassie's Lad matching motors with Jared close at hand. OAKFIELD NEPTUNE (2) progressive mare who was beaten by the wide draw when a game third over 1200m at this track and trip. Further improved and gets a more economical run today with the tongue tie going on. Leading player. ETUDE (4) eye catching return from the awkward gate when launching late to finish fourth over 1100m at Gosford. Comes to hand quickly and the extra trip is in her favour. JARED (9) deep into his prep and has an okay record at this course. Showed plenty of grit when third over this distance at Gosford. Value chance not to be underestimated. ALABAMA BLITZ (3) resumes for the Wynen stable after racing in Victoria to begin her career. Solid trial coming into this and won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Oakfield Neptune to bounce back. |

MASTER BUILDERS INSURANCE BROKERS BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1400m
Tricky, given the lack of early speed. BALLINDERRY SAL (5) comes to hand quickly and strips fitter after running a solid fourth over 1400m at Scone in similar grade. Gets weight relief and look for her finishing over the top of these. FORBIDDEN RIFF (11) caught the eye on resumption after being snagged back from the gate when fourth over 1300m at Kembla Grange. Will roll forward from the draw and figure prominently. TICKLE ME PINK (7) trained on the track and starting to put it all together. Chasing her third straight victory after clearing out for a determined win over 1200m at this course. Hard to hold out with the map favours. KEEP AT 'EM (10) no match for Galano when fifth over 1450m at Muswellbrook in C3 grade. Was just under a month between runs on that occasion. Respect. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 5,11,7. |

BUILDCERT CONDITIONAL BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP 1600m
Genuine tempo from Hibiki Harmony leading Wealthy Investor. HOW MUCH BETTER (1) had mixed luck this prep and no excuses here fifth up with the 3kg claim. Kept safe in betting when he ran below expectations to finish eighth over this trip at Wyong. Has a handy record here and set to bounce back. THIS IS THE MOMENT (2) improving with each run and has his hoof on the till. Proven in the testing conditions and gets an economical run with a key jockey change. RAJNISH (5) has gone to a new level this campaign and deserves his chance in provincial company. Monstered a strong field when making it two straight wins over 1600m at Tamworth. Mitch Bell sticks and should measure up again. TOM CRUISING (8) hard to catch on his day and expecting a better showing after failing to close off when ninth to Hooligan Tommy over 1600m at this track. Drops a further 2kg for this and must be respected. HIBIKI HARMONY (6) smart mare who looks well placed with the 3kg claim after running fourth over 1600m in the Grafton Guineas. Will roll forward and give cheek. SUGGESTED PLAY: How Much Better to assert his class. |
