NUM TIME COMMENT
1 06:10 JOCKEY CELEBRATION DAY Class 1 Plate 1300m
Expecting Fendbar to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. KEEP IT LOKI (5) ended his initial prep with a tough win here over 1300m in early January. He resumes with 3 trials under his belt, and with the blinkers on for the first time, he will be ready to rumble. On top. PAN A MILLION (7) was runner-up at Rockhampton when resuming from a long spell. He will naturally improve with racing and can go one better. LOVE 'N' ROCKETS (9) made up a lot of late ground to finish fourth here 3 weeks ago, beaten by just over a length. She has a better draw this time, and with 2kg less to carry, she can figure in the top 3. DATA LEAK (1) was narrowly beaten here in a tougher grade 3 weeks ago and will find this company more to his liking. He has a wide gate this time, but is in a good space, and should be thereabouts again. FENDBAR (2) won his maiden at Chinchilla and has held his form since then. He can secure a run to suit from a good draw and won't mind the drop back to 1200m. Each way.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keep It Loki to kick off the new season on a winning note.
2 06:45 PICKET FENCE PROPERTIES BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1625m
Moderate tempo with Ariat leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. KATDEEL (5) has continued to race well from the Mark Currie stable, and after back-to-back wins in his first couple of starts from that yard, he was runner-up by under a length here 5 days ago. He is in a good space and can take this out. OFFICE JIM (1) has not won for some time and is having his first start on this track. He has amassed 11 wins in his career, and at this level, he is always an each-way threat. ARIAT (11) has turned a corner in his last couple of starts, including a third at the Gold Coast 4 weeks ago. She drops a further 3kg thanks to a claim, and another honest effort is likely. FORT WILLIAM (12) capped off some solid form when breaking his win drought at Gatton just over 3 weeks ago. Stick with him, despite the wide draw.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Katdeel should continue with his good form here. Each way.
3 07:16 JG AUDIT GALLOP OF TRUTH Class 3 Plate 1100m
Son Of Beebee is expected to lead at a strong tempo. END ASSEMBLY (7) did not cope with a wet track in a stronger field at Doomben last week after finishing runner-up at that level there before that. He has a good draw and has won twice over this trip on this track in the past. He is peaking at the right time and should go close to taking this out. PERFECT MISSION (12) was found to have suffered a cardiac arrhythmia during her last start here just over 4 weeks ago, and should now be fully fit third up from a spell from the Geran stable. A form reversal would be no surprise. SON OF BEEBEE (3) has finished third in both of his starts here this prep for new trainer Kevin Kemp. Each way claims. CHARMED PASSAGE (6) is closing in quickly on his next win and is backing up quickly from his last start. Hard to beat.  SUGGESTED PLAY: End Assembly should be winning this race.
4 07:47 CALIBRE ADVISORS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 870m
Aye Eye Boom should lead at a keen tempo.  PUROSANGUE (5) missed the kick fresh up at Gatton just over 3 weeks ago and just had to use up a touch too much energy to get handy that day. He will be better for that run and only needs to get it right at the start to be hard to hold out. REVALENE (6) bounced back to winning form in his first start on this track a fortnight ago, continuing the good strike rate that the Gollan stable has on this circuit. Stick with him. AYE EYE BOOM (9) gave a good sight in front when finishing runner-up by a neck at Beaudesert just over 3 weeks ago. She slides down in class, and with 230m less to travel, she is good enough to go one better. DRUMS OF WAR (8) needed his fresh-up run at Ipswich for a new trainer and normally improves with a run under his belt. He will find this company more to his liking, and the 3kg claim will help offset his weight rise. A better effort is on the cards. RUMI STAR (12) has changed stables since last racing in April. He has ability and the market will be a good guide.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Purosangue will improve quickly and can take this out.
5 08:18 RAY WHITE COMMERCIAL TOOWOOMBA Maiden Handicap 1300m
A solid tempo on the cards with Newell Beach taking charge. TAJALAT (10) is a lightly tried mare having her first run back from a spell with a recent Doomben trial under her belt. The Tony Gollan stable place their team extremely well on this track, and with the aid of a 2kg claim, she is the one to beat. HEALTHY SUSPICION (15) failed to fire at Doomben fresh up from a spell. She strips filter and has been placed in 3 of her 4 starts here on her home track. A better run is on the cards. Each way. WAITING FOR GRAHAM (7) was a beaten favourite fresh up at Kilcoy when running out of condition late. He will improve quickly with racing and can make amends, even from a wide gate. SILVER AGENT (5) ran a good race despite carrying a lot of extra condition fresh up here a fortnight ago when finishing second. He will trim down with that run and will be hard to hold out here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: There are many chances engaged here, and Tajalat could be the pick of them.
6 08:49 OAKEY ACADEMY OF DANCE RACING EN POINTE BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1890m
In the absence of noted leaders, Katerini and Force Me may be the ones to set a moderate tempo. JUSTICE SERVED (1) is unbeaten in 2 starts on this track and had a tough trip at the Sunshine Coast 8 days ago when travelling wide over 2400m. He is likely to push forward early on here, and if he can conserve some energy, despite having a wide gate, then he is good enough to take this out. LIZZIE'S PRIDE (9) has been a touch disappointing here in her last couple of starts and may have just needed racing to reach her full fitness. She has been getting back in her runs, and maybe a more positive ride early on can see her return to some of her best form again. Each way value. HIDEYO (3) made a winning Queensland debut for Mark Currie here 3 weeks ago when extending nicely to score by over 3 lengths. The extra 265m won't be a problem, and she can win again. SOKUDO (15) is a durable veteran who was outclassed at Doomben last week. He had found some form before that and can bounce back into the money in a more suitable field here. Include in all combinations.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Lizzie's Pride can turn her form around in this. Each-way value.
7 09:18 EMPIRE OF JAPAN Maiden Plate 1625m
The pace looks even at best given a lack of early speed. ROYAL EDITION (6) fought on well enough for fourth here nearly 2 weeks ago and will benefit from a 3kg claim this time. He has more upside than most in this field and should go close to taking it out. OUR ESPRIT (9) did not cope with the quick backup at Gatton last time out and has been given more time between starts here. She has been trying to win a race for a long time but is fit and worth including in all combinations to be safe. SALLY'S KATO (7) changed stables in the middle of June and has not fared any better in a couple of Queensland runs. His trainer has made a bunch of gear changes, and in a field like this, he can run into a top finish. HAPPY COFFEE (12) has shown improvement in her last couple of starts. She has a light weight and won't be far away.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Another even contest and Royal Edition is ready to win.
