CMC BARGING MAIDEN 1200m
Wicked One to take up the running at a moderate tempo. AREDUET (6) was met with solid support last start over 1120m at Derby when fourth, beaten 4 lengths over 1120m. Her run here prior rated better when in the market and this looks to shape similarly to that. Can be prominent in the run and should take catching. FIRE THE GUARD (1) resumed from a spell for a new stable last start when he found one better over 1000m at this track, his first dirt track experience. He'll be fitter for that effort and the rise in trip is ideal. Can go one better. JATS (2) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when fifth, beaten 4 lengths, over 1120m at Derby. Meets some better types this time but a win is not out of the question. HARD TO TOP (7) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1120m at Derby, beaten 2.75 lengths. Has her share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. SUGGESTED PLAY: Areduet looks the one to beat. |

DIVERS TAVERN HANDICAP 1100m
Star Hostess is expected to lead at a slick tempo. ON THE CHARGE (1) disappointed two back before a much better effort at Derby last time out. He was a winner here three back in a CL2 and this doesn't look much different to his latest performance. Can be positive from the gate and go one better this time around. OCEAN OUTLAW (4) did well to score at this track two runs ago. Fair effort last time out when in contention on the corner before finishing fourth over 1100m at this track, beaten 2.75 lengths. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. MAKE YOUR POINT (6) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when fourth over 1200m at this track after being in the firing line on the turn. Placed to advantage and can run a better race. STAR HOSTESS (9) ran a better race last start, finishing 3 lengths away in fourth over 1200m at this track. Better than recent efforts suggest. SUGGESTED PLAY: On The Charge gets the nod. |

DNTL CODE HANDICAP 1615m
Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Rommel's Jeuney. CANGGU (8) disappointed here last start when jumping the race favourite. The blinkers come back off now and he's shown enough speed to offset the sticky draw. Getting out to the mile looks a big tick and he looks poised to bounce back to his best third-up into the campaign. DRILLING RIG (6) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start when he did his best work late but found a couple better over 1453m at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths. Yuill hops in the saddle and on his best form he is good enough to take this out. FRIES WITH THAT (2) was too strong from the front here last start in this grade, winning by a head. Likely to be prominent in the run again and he has won over the mile previously. Can land the knockout blow. ROMMEL'S JEUNEY (7) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 1400m at Derby after being in contention on the corner. In the mix. PRINCE VITALITY (3) fought on for third last start. Finds a suitable race and won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Canggu to bounce back. |

TRUE NORTH HANDICAP 1300m
Keen battle for the lead with Spice Is Right, Schuhbeck and Private Sapling in advance of Rulesque and Double Rush. PRIVATE SAPLING (4) got back to winning ways last start with an impressive performance here, sitting on the speed and running away as favourite. He does rise in weight, but he maps for a similar run in the same grade and he'll take catching with Nettle's claim. SPICE IS RIGHT (2) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a spell, though they have been in tougher company than he meets today. His racing pattern should suit the dirt course here and if he can bring his form up north, he'll be right in the mix. RULESQUE (5) booted up from the inside draw to race on the speed only to be claimed late and finish in sixth last start over 1453m at this track. Well placed and expected to feature. CLOSE TALKER (1) was having her initial outing for the Jody Mc Laughlin yard and also tackling a dirt track for the first time last start when third, beaten 2.25 lengths. Hard to knock latest effort. Worth plenty of thought again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Private Sapling can win again. |

TENDERSPOT MEAT CO. HANDICAP 1435m
Solid tempo likely from Espirito and Ima Wild Girl. COMMISSIONS (3) made it back-to-back wins last start with an all-the-way victory over 1615m here. He drops back in trip today, but he was most impressive here two back and he's likely to be up front again. Up in weight now but he can win again. PLATO OR PLOMO (2) won nicely two back over this track and trip before bumping into Commissions last time out. The wide draw may see him back in the run, though his form stacks up highly and he's sure to be flying home. ESPIRITO (1) was successful when coming up here last campaign and has been primed with a couple of trials in readiness for his return. He possesses good early speed and while he will carry the grandstand, he still has the class to feature. THE TOP BAR (6) was second-up from a break and having his first try on a dirt track when 5 lengths back in seventh at this track over 1200m. Better for the run on this surface last time and won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Commissions is the one to beat. |

ADVANCED ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT HANDICAP 1780m
Expecting plenty of speed from Mirrorschino, Do It Right and Lucky Landing from Street Maschino. LUCKY LANDING (1) pushed forward last time and boxed on to finish 3 lengths away in third over 1800m at Derby. He was an impressive winner when leading throughout over this track and trip two back. Will find this easier than his last start where he held his own and can bounce back to winning form. KINGS SICARIO (7) settled well back but hit the line well to finish fourth, beaten 2.25 lengths, over 1435m here last time. May need some things to go his way from the barrier, but his best figures say he's good enough and he's not to be discounted. HIGH COMMISSION (5) filled a minor placing when fresh from a spell two starts ago but failed to fire when right up in distance last start. Back to this trip may suit this time and he can return to form. DO IT RIGHT (6) made progress last time out, finishing 3 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 1800m at Derby. Finds a nice race and is worth including. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Lucky Landing to get the job done. |

THE ROEBUCK BAY HOTEL KIMBERLEY CUP 2070m
Magnaburma should be able to comfortably find the front. Open race to end the day. GAMBLER'S GOLD (5) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 1.3 lengths away in third over 1780m at this track. Stepping up in trip today, though that looks to suit and he's sure to be doing his best work late in the race. STRIKING FELLA (4) built on a nice third two starts back at this track with a win as favourite over 1780m at this track eight days ago, getting home by a long neck. He maps to get every chance once again and there's no reason why he can't go on with the job. MAGNABURMA (8) is close to breaking through, last start finishing just a long neck away in second over 1780m at this track after being in contention all the way. Taking on a better line-up this time but he is up to the challenge. LAUTRE (11) ran below expectations last time at Derby but was better here prior to that. Expecting him to return to form. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Gambler's Gold in the last. |
