NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:08 BECOME A BRC MEMBER BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 1600m
Expecting Just Flying to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. JUST FLYING (3) grows a leg for hoop Guthmann-Chester who has two wins and two placings from just four steers and will be ready to peak now fourth-up from the spell. Saves his best form for this mile journey and should be right there at the business end. HABEEBAH (5) will strip fitter second-up from the break and gets the reliable Gollan/Jones combination. Looms as the main danger. LIBERTY STEPS (6) may have suffered from the dreaded second-up syndrome at the latest effort and is much better than that effort suggests. Can bounce right back. ALL'S FAIR (7) is a last-start winner who gets in light with the claim and draws the inside marble. Ticks a few boxes. NORTHERN DECREE (4) best of the rest.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 3,5,6,7.
2 12:43 EAGLE FARM 160 YEARS RACEDAY Fillies and Mares Class 6 Plate 1200m
Lady Wardell and Sicilian look to take it up. GIVE GIGGLES (2) has a handy record here on her home circuit with a win and two placings from four starts and has been racing very consistently this preparation. Hard to knock mares in form and should be going very close again. SICILIAN (10) got a well-deserved victory at Doomben last time out and will have derived a stack of confidence from that win. Can go back-to-back. REMLAPS ANGEL (7) wasn't disgraced at Listed level two back before filling the frame at the latest effort. In the mix. OCEAN ZAR (9) resumes here but the form she showed when last in work was good enough for this. Can feature while fresh. NOT THAT EASY (8) goes well for rider Van Der Hoven who has only missed a place once in six rides. May improve sharply with him on her back.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning towards Give Giggles.
3 01:18 HAPPY HORSES' BIRTHDAY Class 3 Handicap - Weights Raised 0.5kg 1000m
Good pace with Air We Go, Kelly's Landing and Dont Call Me Honey matching motors. VINDICTA (8) was very impressive on resumption when bolting in at the Sunshine Coast to win a CL1 as the $1.50 favourite. Only a lightly raced gelding, he still has some upside and the step up in grade looks a jump he can easily make. Should get every chance to bring up back-to-back wins. AIR WE GO (9) hasn't been far away in his races since a first-up win, with all races being at the Sunshine Coast. He's shown good speed so Thompson can cross from out wide and now at peak fitness, he'll be hard to run down. KELLY'S LANDING (12) worked through the grades impressively last campaign and gets in right down in the weights. She'll find this easier than what she was tackling last time in work and she's sure to put her best foot forward. DONT CALL ME HONEY (7) was solid first-up in this grade at the Sunshine Coast and can be in the finish again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Vindicta to go back-to-back to start the campaign.
4 01:53 SKY RACING BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1815m
Expecting a strong gallop with Enterprise Lassie and Colleano taking up the running over Lupine. The well-related ROCK HARD LOVE (4) (full to G3 winner Parry Sound) has hit a purple patch of form of late with two wins and two seconds from his past five outings and is yet to miss a quinella spot in two spins around this circuit. Gets the services of Maloney in the irons to navigate from the sticky alley and rates a top winning chance. EL PENSADOR (7) is a last-start winner who should appreciate the 1815m trip here. He'll be suited by the sting out of the ground and if he can run up to his latest figures, he'll go close to winning again. LARUSSO (11) looks to have plenty of upside and must be respected from the Bruce camp. Top-three aspirations. LUPINE (15) next in line on the minimum weight.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Rock Hard Love to continue the rich vein of form.
5 02:28 COUNTRY MUSIC RACEDAY ON SALE NOW BENCHMARK 90 Handicap 1815m
Expecting The Right Way to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. It's hard to knock the form of TUFF TU MUS (1) who has strung six wins together on the bounce and is racing with a lot of confidence. Maps to get the run of the race from gate three and can continue the picket fence here. ZAPHOD (3) loves this nine-furlong journey with three wins and four placings from nine attempts and rarely puts in a poor one. Has to be included. CAPTAIN FENKEL (9) has shown improvement at the past couple and may earn some minor money. THE RIGHT WAY (6) was in good order before being outclassed in the Caloundra Cup last month. Back in grade suits him today and he's likely to be in the finish after the 3kg claim of Vitler.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Tuff Tu Mus to keep the ball rolling.
6 03:03 U&U RECRUITMENT QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1200m
Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Stiktodascrypt. SPANISH TREASURE (4) has been knocking on the door of a maiden victory with consecutive runner-up finishes to start the career and strikes a winnable contest here. Can go one better against this lot. VIVIKA (9) is a last-start winner who gets 3kg weight relief and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Ticks plenty of boxes for a race like this. ALPHA SOFIE (5) stormed home to score in good fashion at this track and trip last start to shed the maiden tag. The wide draw will see her a long way back in the run, but it's hard to ignore what she did last start and she has to be included. SPECIAL ARTIST (2) finished behind Alpha Sofie when caught wide last start after a good win two back. Expecting an improved run.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Spanish Treasure.
7 03:43 MORETON HIRE BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1400m
Run Lucy Run to take charge ahead of Big Boy George at a solid tempo.  Looks a race with a stack of chances. BOONDOCKS (6) returned to the winners' stall over this seven-furlong journey at the latest effort and saves his best form for this trip. Should get a nice run in transit from the middle draw and can make it back-to-back victories. CHO OYU (7) is lightly raced but goes well for hoop Dempsey who has a win and two seconds from just three steers. Looks to have some upside and is sure to play a big role. Former NSW galloper BIG BOY GEORGE (10) has grown a leg since joining the new stable and did place over this track and trip last time out. Top-three contender on recent form. POSEIDON RULER (14) has been thereabouts in recent outings and will be rock-hard fit for this. Finds a suitable race here. AOLANI (16) best of the rest with the claim.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 6,7,10,14.
8 04:18 EVA AIR OPEN Handicap 1000m
Hot tempo expected from Steady Ready and Hold On Honey. You'd love to own a stable of gallopers like METALART (2) who has eight wins and four placings from just 14 starts and doesn't know how to run a bad race. Gets plenty of weight off with the 3kg claim and should get the run of the race from the inside marble. Can continue the rich vein of form. STEADY READY (1) has a strong record over this course and distance with four wins and a second from just seven attempts. Ready to peak now third-up and looms as the main danger. PARTY FOR TWO (9) resumes here but has only missed a drum once in five first-up efforts and a strong showing while fresh would not shock. BRERETON (10) doesn't win out of turn but is usually thereabouts and is a must for the multiples.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Metalart to salute again.
9 04:50 LADBROKES FORM GENIUS Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 6 Plate 1200m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Hawker Hall leading the way.  Former Godolphin campaigner PEREILLE (13) hails from a handy family (full to G2 winner Corniche) and will find this much easier than the recent runner-up finish at Listed level around Flemington. First run for the Gollan yard here and any market confidence must be respected. CASPERNOVA (12) has been on the doorstep of another victory with three consecutive runner-up finishes to start the preparation and has never missed the top-four in 12 career outings. Has to be included. JOHN RAMBO (7) has a solid record over this track and trip with two wins and a placing from five starts. In the mix on best form. HAWKER HALL (16) saluted at Doomben last time out and winning hoop Dolan sticks. Should give backers a sight from the low draw. MILLANE (8) rounds out the selections with Maloney on board.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Pereille.
