Cox Electrical Handicap 1800m
Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by All So Clear. SHOWRUNNER (3) is a progressive 4YO that rarely runs poorly. He finished 7L off a couple of in-form gallopers last start but is better than that. If you refer to his prior form, he's a big chance to win again. Versatile racing style and drawn well to get every chance. AITCH D'AMICO (6) gets in with no weight on his back after the claim. He's been winless for some time but he's shown glimpses recently and his best is good enough for this. Impossible to fault the recent form of Victorian raider ALL SO CLEAR (1). He's got to lump the 60kg but Toeroek rides and he's an obvious top-three prospect. FOLLOWING SEA (5) and BOLT BY (4) go in wider plays. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Showrunner to win. |

Thomas Farms Maiden Plate 1200m
Not a great deal of pace on paper so it may be left to one of the first starters to take it up. As is often the case, a tricky maiden to assess with so many first starters. Leaning towards MONDELLO (12), who was great first-up off a lengthy spell. She's open to improvement second-up and gets in well with a 2kg claim. She can take up a handy spot and be hard to beat. NOW EAST (4) has been solid in both runs this campaign. Those have been on a heavy track but looking at a better racing surface on today. HRates highly on recent form and can put his best foot forward. STOLEN KISS (13) was only fair last start but her prior form was good. She is a top-three chance again. BROADBEACH MISS (8) has shown enough and is worth including. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Mondello each-way. |

Spry Civil Construction Handicap 1600m
Thermodynamic, Swycho and Maxildo to take up the running at a decent tempo. Some in-form types clash here but the race drops away pretty quickly. No reason to think that MERCHANT BOSS (1) can't win again. He hasn't been far away in four runs since his last win. Looks well placed in this grade with the 3kg claim. He looks a great each-way bet. MAXILDO (5) has been good in easier races lately but will get a soft run from the inside draw and can run in the money. SWYCHO (4) is ready to win after two nice runs. She's a quality mare on her day and the step to 1600m looks ideal at this stage of her preparation. Respect the Victorian form of IMAMANZOR (3), while BIG SUE (2) must be a chance after an impressive win last weekend. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Merchant Boss to win. |

Ridleys SA Handicap 2000m
Either Burning Bright or Chance Taken should find the front and dictate terms. HARLEY'N'ROSE (4) saves his best for Murray Bridge, as was the case when successful in a similar race last start. The 3kg claim ensures he gets in well at the weights. With the right run from a middle draw, he can win again. BELLAKAI (5) drops back from several runs over further. Her recent form is only fair but her best gives her a winning chance against these. BURNING BRIGHT (8) always runs well but doesn't win out of turn. Back him each-way. CHANCE TAKEN (3) ran well on the Heavy 10 track in Adelaide last week. If that run hasn't taken too much out of him, he must be a place chance again. Including LAVISH THINKER (1) in wider plays. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Harley'n'rose each-way. |

Premi Air Refrigeration & Airconditioning Handicap 1100m
Keen tempo with Nasho and Dancing Storm prominent. Handy race. DANCING STORM (8) resumes and brings a decent first-up record, having not missed a place in all four fresh runs. Will need luck from the wide gate but he is versatile and looks well placed with the 2kg claim. SUPER ALANA (9) won a similar race last start and can win again. Pannell sticks and she won her only start at this track and distance. WINNING REVOLUTION (1) needs things to go his way but he's got the ability and must be respected as a genuine top-three chance. VINTAGE STAR (5) can improve into the money back into this class, while GITALONG (2) is worth another chance if he brings his A-game. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Dancing Storm to win. |

National Jockeys Celebration Day Handicap 1200m
Good early pressure with Burton Street or Ice Symphony likely to take up the running. RICHE D'AMOUR (1) is a genuine racehorse and he looks to have found a suitable race to register another city win. He was an impressive last-start winner at this track and he's drawn to get a similar run, albeit must carry a bit more weight. SIGN FROM ABOVE (9) was well backed last start but was only fair. This is no easier but she deserves respect. CASH (4) is the most interesting runner all day. He's a million-dollar colt that won his only start in the spring. He doesn't show a lot in his trials but there is obvious quality and plenty of upside there. SOLAR BLAST (10) and WARPARTY (7) are others to throw into the equation. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Riche D'amour to win again. |

Murray Bridge Septic Solutions Handicap 1200m
Moderate pace only with Refreshing leading Trantoro. NURYS (1) had been a frustration for punters but has finally found her groove this winter. The positives on Saturday are that she's drawn low and gets the services of Todd Pannell. Ratings suggest she's the best horse in the race and the one to beat. The queries are the big weight and whether the track will be wet enough for her. RUNAWAY STATEMENT (2) is a progressive mare that went close last start. She drops back 200m and looks the obvious danger. PULAMBI (10) has won at this track and distance and looks a top-three chance again. DAWNBURST (12) and LITTLEBOURKESTREET (7) are others with claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Nurys to win. |

Golden Grove Tavern Handicap 1400m
Strong tempo with Synchro, Willybeafactor and Flashing Steel leading the way. This looks to be the race of the day. SYNCHRO (11) is an emerging type with three wins from his six starts. He's been freshened up for this and is drawn wide so it's definitely a challenge. But he looks well above average and I'm happy to back in Todd Pannell to plot a path to victory. Few horses are racing with a zest like FAST BUBBLES (7), who is chasing a fourth consecutive win. Two of those recent wins have been at Murray Bridge. Drawn ideally and will get his chance. WATADEEL (3) was super first-up and will likely improve into this. Don't dismiss the chances of PLACO (14), who goes into the quaddie. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Synchro to win. |

Murdoch Insurance Brokers Handicap 1400m
Proven Correct should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep him honest. THE MANSMAN (1) is a hard horse to catch but if you can ever be confident about his chances, it's over 1400m at Murray Bridge, where he's won two of his three starts. He's drawn to be finishing down the middle part of the track, which is likely to be the place to be by this stage of the day. AFFAIRE VUE (11) is stepping straight out of maiden grade but she was very impressive last time. She can go forward and go on with it. EXABANOISE (2) is better than what he showed on the heavy track last week. He's a tricky ride but there is ability there and he can definitely run in the money. Don't dismiss the chances of HIGH GARDEN (9). SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Exabanoise each-way. |
