Strong tempo from Eugenius, Gold Spirit and Small Town Hero. HOOKED ON WEALTH (17) possesses a powerful turn of foot at his best but often leaves himself with too much to do. The low draw could see him cluttered away again, though if the gaps appear he’ll take plenty of stopping. GOLD SPIRIT (2) comes through stronger form and brings ratings that stack up well here. The apprentice will need to produce a smart ride from the draw, but the ability is there. INVERTATIONAL (15) also possesses a sharp turn of foot when the pace is genuine and shouldn’t be dismissed. I AM VELVET (5) jumped out well coming into the campaign but has had excuses in her first two runs back. Now finds a very suitable race third-up with the sting out of the ground a big tick for her. Can turn her form right around. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hooked On Wealth to burst through and win.
