Solid tempo expected primarily from Vip Chase and Geocentric. AARON'S ROD (11) turned in a sound effort last time but found one better at Hanshin over 2400m, beaten half a length. Should be at his peak now. Has a superb record here at the journey with two wins and a 100% top-three strike rate. Suited here and a win will not surprise. GEOCENTRIC (4) is a promising galloper who resumes from a break. Last raced when third over 2000m at Nakayama nine weeks ago which was the only run of that prep. Has never missed the frame when fresh from a spell in four starts. Should be prominent from the outset. Best form puts him right in this. SATONO PATRIOT (13) is a promising galloper who won at his only run last prep six months ago over 2400m at this track. Should park just off the speed. Will give backers a great sight. NORARI KURARI (6) didn't do a bad job when second last start over 2400m at this track. That followed a win at Hanshin the start prior. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role.
