Solid tempo set by Rochello and Sir Sterling. BETTY SPAGHETTI (5) has been battling this year in some good fields, and she should notice the drop down in class here. This is her pet trip, and a wet track is no problem. She is nicely weighted after a 3kg claim, and she is set to break her win drought here. MARTELL (2) has been very disappointing in all 3 starts this prep, and he may have needed all of those runs to get fit. He steps up 200m, and he can make amends. ROCHELLO (7) can't be faulted this prep, and he won for the first time over this trip 3 starts back, when leading all the way. Her track record is very modest, and she can upgrade those stats here. HE'S TUNZA GRUNT (6) was put aside after a couple of poor runs in the spring, and his form is all on wet tracks anyway. He might need the run, but he is still worth including in all top 4 combos to be safe. THE HANGOVER (8) found the right race and got the job done at Ascot Park 3 weeks ago. This is tougher, but after a 2kg claim, he is nicely placed to figure in the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Betty Spaghetti can win this.
