LINCHPIN (6) arrived just in time to get the verdict two back over this trip and then went close to making it two on the trot last start. Has found form and gets in well at the weights. Can atone. POND MASTER (1) got too far back last time at Belmont Park but has been finding the line nicely prior against tougher opposition. Should find this a bit easier but does draw to get back again. Watch for him late if they roll along early. MISS ESPRIT (7) is yet to break through this prep but has turned in some strong performances. Was left with too much to do last time when dropping back to 1200m and is better suited back to this trip. OUR MATE ARCHIE (2) returns and gets the key booking of Pike, who will need to be at the top of his game from out there. SUGGESTED PLAY: Linchpin to win.
