Strong tempo with Pomme Verte, Held and Lot Emperor leading the charge. LOT EMPEROR (2) really dug deep to score by 1.5 lengths three runs back at this track before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Drawn to enjoy a good run on the speed. Will prove tough to beat. FELSITE (4) was in the money two starts back at this track but was unable to repeat the effort last time when sixth, beaten 5.5 lengths, at this track over 1400m. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. ASTAEQUUS (10) finished sixth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1400m at this track, beaten 3 lengths. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is one of the key runners. HELD (8) turned in a fine effort to win by one length at today's track and distance last start in a far better effort. No reason he cannot salute again.
