There should be a bit of pressure with Kodiac Bear and Vanbrugh Belle pressing forward in advance of Niemi and Merrylees. IT'S AMELIA (3) made progress last year with her racing well-spaced. She ended that prep with a fourth on this track as a short-priced favourite. She will be stronger now, and though she resumes without any public trials, she should still be hard to beat. KODIAC BEAR (2) did not kick on as expected after finishing second on debut last spring. He is resuming with 2 trials under his belt, and in a very modest field, he has each-way claims. LASSIE (4) makes her debut off the back of a couple of recent trials, and the market will be our best guide. VANBRUGH BELLE (8) will be peaking third up, and from a superior gate, she is not the worst in this contest. NIEMI (6) strips fitter second up, and from a good gate, she can improve quickly. Follow the market moves. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kodiac Bear each way.
