Genuine pace with Ceriana taking up the running ahead of Meisho Gishi O and Danon Oneup. DANON ONEUP (2) turned in a fine effort to win by 3.5 lengths at this track and distance when first-up from a break last start. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is right in contention. MERRY SENSE (7) has returned in good order this preparation. Opened with a second at this track two starts back then scored by 2 lengths as favourite last time out over 1400m at this track. Meeting a tougher field but on current form he is one of the key runners. T K MOHALA (8) raced below her best last time when sixth over 1230m at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths. Finds a nice race and can bounce back. CERIANA (3) was quick to find the lead at this course and distance last time, turning in front but weakening in the straight to finish 12th, beaten 13 lengths. Takanori Nagai who has two wins when partnering stays on. Deserves respect.
