Penrose is expected to lead at a slick tempo. PENROSE (6) led narrowly beaten at Albury on a good track and then had support on a slow surface at Canberra, but didn't have the best of it (vet cleared). Heywood is engaged today, suggesting she's pleasing the stable. Freshened up, she can get back on track. NAVAJO CODE (2) debuts for Canberra's premier stable and impressed when placing in a recent trial at home. Has a 1.5kg claim, the blinkers on and a bold run is on the cards. DEEPLY (8) resumes with the in-form Boudvillain in the saddle. She showed enough on the Canberra Acton last time to suggest she's a chance. Has an awkward gate, but she will be naturally improved.
