Genuine tempo with Kiss Umai to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. SERIOUS HITTER (7) produced a good effort last start when second over 820m at this track to make it two minor placings from three runs this preparation. Should be poised just off the lead. Best figures should see him run well. LACUS GAUDII (10) went fast early and went on to score by 3.5 lengths last time out over 820m at this track. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. EIRAKU (6) last appeared on February 11 when a good fifth over 800m at Himeji, beaten 1.3 lengths. Has to be respected. KISS UMAI (5) scored two runs back then was well supported last time but could only manage to finish seventh over the same trip at this track. Meets a stronger field but he is worth another chance.
