Solid pace with Cal Bay Cruise finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. COCO CHAMPAGNE (9) finished fifth over 1400m at Himeji at her most recent appearance on January 23. Has ability and should be right in the finish. KAZUMA (6) comes here off a break of four-and-a-half months. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1600m at Morioka Dirt. Now under the care of new trainer Yukihide Matsuhira. Comes here with definite claims. AGNES SHU (1) turned in a fine effort to win by half a length at today's course and distance when first-up from a break last time out. Meets a stronger field but he is worth serious consideration. LILIES BLOOM (5) travelled in a rearwards position and didn't fire over 1400m at this track last time out when in the market. That followed a good third the run prior. Tackling a deeper field this time but she is good enough to turn the recent effort around.
