THE PREMIER PLATE (HANDICAP) 1800m

Track: GOOD      

Expecting Chancheng Glory to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. GALAXY PATCH (2) was just too good in The Lion Rock Trophy, when being out-sprinted at the top of the straight but still managing to mow the leader down and score. The wide draw makes things tricky, but there looks to be more pace engaged this time which should suit. Quality animal who can win again despite the rise in weight. CHANCHENG GLORY (8) is favoured in the weight swing after being run down by Galaxy Patch right on the post. Unsure if he'll be able to lead and dictate as he did last start, but he was good over this trip in the 4YO series and he's right at the bottom of the weights. Live hope once more. NIMBLE NIMBUS (4) couldn't sustain the gallop in the QEII Cup last time out and looked well placed in this event. He boasts a strong record over this trip and the wide draw won't matter as he'll get back anyway. Can make his presence felt. BEAUTY JOY (1) will appreciate more tempo this time around and Bowman going on board is a big tick.
