Five Down should have enough pace to lead a low-pressure contest. SLICK (8) seeks the hat-trick and delivered at Ascot the latest over this distance in a CL1. She keeps getting better and has the inside barrier. Carries 0.5kg less in the grade and looks capable of winning again. TOO MUCH TALK (1) was straight back on track when narrowly beaten this grade at Bunbury, and there was plenty of merit in the effort. He's proven second-up and keeps the handy 3kg claim. Will have to do it the hard way again, but will hit the line hard over the longer sprint. SEINDEEL (2) resumes and the former Victorian trialled well for the Williams yard before a decent effort over this distance first-up. Has transferred to the Lane yard and has been freshened. He will be fitter and is proven second-up. Brad Parnham takes over from the apprentice, and his best form stacks right up. WESTERN LADY (12) resumes and has switched from the Williams yard. She's raced at Listed level over ground and has trialled twice. She won fresh, and the betting will be key with her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Slick.
