Spicy Spangle can lead at a good tempo with Thousand Cups not far away. NEBRASKAN (2) drops back to the 1000m journey today where he is actually undefeated through two runs. He's trialled soundly since his last run and Purton takes the ride now. Likely to be on the speed from an inside draw and he'll take plenty of beating. SPICY SPANGLE (4) is also a speedy customer but just couldn't hold on up front last time out, beaten 1.5L. Leung sticks with him today and this looks to shape similarly to his last start when he jumped favourite. Can go close. ISLAND BREEZES (1) missed in a photo finish two back before closing strongly here last time out, beaten 0.8L. The wide draw is likely to see him back in the run once again, but he'll be there to strike if they overdo it up front. MACANESE MASTER (11) beat Island Breezes two back before a solid effort on the All Weather last time out. Remains down in the weights and is not to be discounted.
