Just a moderate tempo headed by Azena, Zorbrist and Quick Cookie. AZENA (5) led and missed a whisker over this distance at Pinjarra Scarpside. It was a good effort from the 12 gate and she draws inside today. She may run them along again and can go one better with the benefit of the 3kg claim. TOUSLED CROWN (7) started $4.0 but didn't finish the race off in stronger grade at Ascot when beaten 3.2L (vet cleared). Impressed with a big win at Pinjarra prior over a mile. Comes back 200m off a brief freshen and should get every chance. PRINCESS IN RED (1) peaks and is also going well enough to feature. Draws the outside gate but Chris Parnham is a key jockey switch replacing the 2kg apprentice. FEY KING (2) has been off the scene for an age but Pike is booked and that interests. She has ability and has trialled twice. Worth a betting watch. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Azena.
