Moderate pace with Purler Patch taking up the running ahead of Ripplebrook and Flag Flyer. HOUDINI (2) should be peaking third up. Two runs back have been rock solid, good to the line in a strongly run affair at Geelong fresh, again trying hard in a good race at Sandown Hillside last time. He rates highly and can get the job done. TWO SIGMA (5) stepped up to 1600m last time at Sandown Hillside and won well with the light weight. Up in trip can suit again and she should be able to go on with it. FLAG FLYER (1) is in great form this time in, winning 2 from 4. He's up in weight off a last start victory at Moe but can go on with it. ZAAFFAIR STEAL (7) broke through for a rare win last time at Cranbourne and has to be respected off the back of it. LANE CHANGER (8) should be ready to peak third up and can improve. SUGGESTED PLAY: Houdini to win.
