MEL DORE (9) held on well to finish second when first-up from a break last time out over 1200m at this track after leading for much of the way. Will go forward again and looks tough to beat. RHIPSALIS (10) hasn’t been far away since a maiden win four runs back, the latest effort a third over 1200m at this track on January 21. Expected to be in the finish again. MORGENROTE (8) raced on the speed last time but couldn't finish the race off and clocked-in fourth over 1200m at this track. Worth including in this suitable contest. SPRING ROLL (5) ran below expectations when fresh from a spell at this track over 1200m last time, finishing fifth and beaten 6 lengths. Nicely placed to make amends.
