GOING: G(3)

QUAYCLEAN HANDICAP 1000m

Track: GOOD3   Clouds (Max: 28)   Rail: +3m Entire.

Fast pace assured with Prince Ragnar, Tycoon Harry and Girls Day Out leading the charge. MALLETIER (6) resumes after 161 days and has switched from a leading Victorian yard. He has strong metro form and has placed 2/2 fresh. Won a recent Lark Hill trial and the gun hoop sticks from that. Draws awkwardly, but he looks all set to go. GIRLS DAY OUT (8) has plenty of ability and won a CL1 at Ascot first-up as expected. She has the speed to use the inside gate to advantage and races well second-up. Has plenty of scope for improvement. TYCOON HARRY (1) raced in much stronger at Ascot last time and folded up late from the front. He'd been narrowly beaten there prior in a 66 and that stacks up. Keeps the 2kg claim and he can bounce back into the finish. PRINCE RAGNAR (5) brings good figures from Geraldton at 70 level. Drops back to a shorter sprint but draws inside and is a candidate to control the race. Sure to give a sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: Malletier if the betting suggests stable confidence.
