Anticipating a genuine tempo over the 1000m journey. CRUZADOR (5) has finished fourth in his last three starts. He was his own worst enemy over 1400m last time as he over raced in the early stages. He has won once, finished second once and third twice from nine starts over this course and distance. He has dropped to a competitive rating and on best form he can take this race out. WORDSWORTH (3) is better than his last start run would suggest as he was reported to be fatigued and tying up. Four of his five career victories have come over this distance. With a win and two second placings from his last five runs can return to top-three form. WINTER WARFARE (2) would have come on from his last start resuming run when finishing fourth. He has finished second twice and third once from as many starts over this trip. He gets the tongue-tie fitted for the first time which may do the trick. ROYAL KINGDOM (1) won well as the favourite over 1200m on this course last time in what was his only run last prep. Fresh-up should be hard to beat.
