Genuine tempo from Saxon Spot leading Hionado. SOUTHERN CRESCENT (14) resumed in good order and then was quickly back to her best when narrowly beaten here in a 62 as favourite. Has an awkward barrier but will present fitter and is capable of going one better. LADY POTATO HEAD (11) resumes for the Stokes yard and performs on the fresh side. She has a tidy record and won a recent jumpout. Neindorf is aboard and no surprise to see her feature. JEWEL BAY (2) would win this at best and has made good improvement in his last two. The gate is against, but he has to be kept right onside.
SAXON SPOT (6) has switched from James Cunnings, and you'd expect the Hayes yard to have him stoked up off a freshen. He didn't enjoy the heavy track first-up and has some key gear changes. The form from his initial preparation stacks right up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Southern Crescent.
