MURWILLUMBAH GOLF CLUB COUNTRY BOOSTED BENCHMARK 58 SHOWCASE HANDICAP 1100m

Track: HEAVY 8   Rain (Max: 19)   Rail: True.

Solid tempo with Odette's Orchids leading from Vivika and Gaylord. VIVIKA (4) looks a handy type. Was a dominant maiden winner at Grafton and then followed it up with a solid effort in town when well supported. Fair chance she's a cut above this lot. GAYLORD (1) is in consistent form, following a Grafton victory with a strong second at the Gold Coast. Possesses enough early speed to be prominent throughout. BARRON (7) narrowly prevailed at Casino last start in testing conditions. Deserves respect. STOINKA (2) was below his best at Ipswich last time but had scored well at this track the run before. His peak figures are good enough to see him be involved at the business end. ODETTE'S ORCHIDS (5) has failed to threaten in her two runs back but has since been freshened for this third-up assignment. Watch for sharp improvement. SUGGESTED PLAY: Vivika is hard to go past.
