He set the pace, tried hard but found one too good on the day. If getting his own way in front may be hard to peg back. PIBE DE ORO (1) finished a head third in the same race as the top selection last start when sent out as the odds-on favourite. Looks well placed to atone. BANDMASTER (2) stayed on well when fourth of seven over 1300m on this course last start when resuming from a spell. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. Rates well as an each-way chance. MONOCLE (4) has been reported to be coughing in his last two starts. He is yet to place on this course from seven starts but from the pole position and can finish in the money.
