Expecting Prefer The Wink to set a genuine tempo after crossing from wide out. BLACK BUGATTI (8) didn't fire at Kembla Grange on a heavy track but threatened at Newcastle and Hawkesbury prior. The Sydney-trained galloper is well placed and hard-fit. He's well placed at this level to be winning. GOOFINATOR (2) settled outside the leader at Moruya over 2010m and was beaten a whisker. Has to manage the outside gate but is on a quick backup and can quinella if things work out. FINAL IMPACT (1) is a former Kiwi who resumed in good order at Tamworth for the new yard. At his best over a middle distance, and the extra metres suit him. Maps well and stripping fitter he can get into the finish. PONTIAC (10) is a local who was plain on a heavy track at Forbes in Maidens. He impressed placing at Moruya prior, and that would see him around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Black Bugatti.
