The engagement of Niihara Shuma is noteworthy. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. HIRONDELLE (4) returns from a spell of three months and did win first-up last time in work over 1500m at Kanazawa. Solid chance while fresh. SHOSAN REX (7) turned in a fair effort at this course over 1200m at his last run four-and-a-half months ago, finishing fourth and beaten 2.5 lengths. Can make his presence felt. LUISA (8) was thereabouts last start when fourth over 1200m at this venue. In the right race and should be in the mix.
