Solid tempo with Lacus Gaudii to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. LIGHT PILLAR (1) made it back-to-back wins when successful last start over 1400m at this track, getting home by 1.3 lengths. Likely to be in the finish again. LAMBEAU LEAP (7) ran a better race and finished fourth last time out over 1400m at this track. Capable of sharp improvement. IROMEGANE (4) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago at Himeji. Less impressive last time out when ninth over 1400m at this track. Best figures measure up and can bounce back. LACUS GAUDII (8) is close to breaking through with four placings from seven starts this preparation, last time out finishing second over 1400m at this track. Sure to be about the mark again.
