Strong tempo expected from Meikun, Switchblade and Akiyoshi Power. SWITCHBLADE (7) improved sharply on his fourth two starts back at this track with a win over 2000m at this track two weeks ago, getting home by 1.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Has the class to take care of this field. KAMUINO UTAGE (4) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing second and beaten only 1.5 lengths over 1700m at this track. Goes up a rung or two but he is worth serious consideration. MEIKUN (10) pushed forward and went on to record a determined win last start by a neck over 1500m at this track. Should be prominent in the run despite the wide draw. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is worth serious consideration. POMERANIAN GOD (6) was responsible for a better run last start, beaten 4.5 lengths into fourth over 2000m at this track. Better than recent efforts suggest.
