Power Smash is expected to lead at a slick tempo. NAMI'S JEWEL (8) trialled sharply twice at Randwick and then led them up at Newcastle on debut, beaten just 0.7L. She draws inside and won't have to improve much to be winning. JOYRIDER (1) resumes and has form early doors that would see him very competitive. Owns a Warwick Farm trial win, but the outside gate is the slight niggle. STORMY REIGN (10) resumed on a heavy track at Scone and did about what the betting expected. Morgan sticks aboard the Baker-trained galloper, and quick improvement is likely. The speedy POWER SMASH (2) resumes, and three-back was beaten a whisker at Moruya on debut. He will be naturally improved and is likely to race well. SUKEBAN (11) jumps from an inside barrier and was solid enough at Newcastle on debut. In the right hands and has to be kept safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Nami's Jewel.
