Good pace from M T Waltz, Gold Cross and J K Milimili going forward. GOLD CROSS (3) has put together a couple of wins at this track, the latest on March 24 over 1400m when he got home by one length. On current form he is right in contention. POWER TAISHO (4) has missed the frame at his last couple of runs, the latest when he drifted back and failed to come on, finishing 11th at Kokura. Finds an easier assignment and is among the leading chances. M T WALTZ (8) ran below expectations when fresh from a spell at this track over 1700m last time, finishing fifth. Tatsuya Nakajima goes aboard. One of the prime contenders in a most suitable contest. NIKI (10) booted up from the inside draw to sit on the speed last start then stuck on well to finish third over 1400m at this track. The engagement of Shoma Kato is a positive move. Going up a level this time but can feature.
