With the aid of the inside gate Spats Pav Bowie has the speed to lead a race lacking genuine early pace. DUBAI WARRIOR (18) brought strong form to resumption, beaten 1.9L here after a slow start. He was an easy Canberra Maiden winner at his only second-up start and is still well shy of his peaks. Morgan stays aboard and will give him every chance from the advantageous barrier. EMPRESS OF JAPAN (15) has been within range both starts this preparation and also has plenty up her sleeve. She's been freshened and the longer sprint suits. Has an awkward gate but is ready to fire. MINNEHAHA FALLS (12) resumes and is also in sharp Sydney hands. She was an easy Wyong Maiden winner two back, heavily bet and Collett continues her association with the mare. She's trialled well and can get into the finish. WEXFORD MISS (14) switched from a Sydney yard and needed the first-up run. Draws out, but she's another with more to give, and the local Seib yard is going extra well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Dubai Warrior.
