Only a small field but there should be a solid tempo with a few first starters engaged. Tricky race with a few first starters who look capable so watch the market. But hard to go past SCORCHED LANE (2) who placed at both starts in first campaign before a good break. Has been gelded, fitted with three hit-outs and looks primed to go. BANYAN JENNI (5) was a close-up fourth on debut at Pakenham, beaten just over a length. Has good upside and looks well placed. BABUSHKA MISS (4) started her career with three trials in NSW and has had three for the new barn leading up to her debut. Bold showing expected. WILD DANCER (3) is also making his debut and is related to plenty of winners. Jumping out well and expected to measure up. ASKMUMASKDAD (1) is another first starter ticking over well and is worth keeping safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Scorched Lane.
