Fast tempo assured with Snappy Pierro, Boulder Jack and Epice Dieu going toe-to-toe. SOREL RISING (1) has had a couple of runs back from a spell on this track and has finished a game runner-up on both occasions. He is peaking at the right time and is nicely placed to go one better. SANDWINA (9) followed up her comfortable maiden win fresh up with a solid effort for second at Echuca last time out. The visors replace the blinkers, and she has been kept up to the mark with a trial here since that run. Stick with her. BOULDER JACK (3) was in terrific form earlier in the year and has been run down in his last couple of starts after setting the pace. Zac Spain is unbeaten in 2 rides on him and will return to the saddle here. Each-way value. LOVIN' LAUGHS (2) is a durable veteran who will find this easier than his last 3 assignments. A 3kg claim will reduce his deserved top weight, and he can bounce straight back into the money. EPICE DIEU (4) won a trial before his fresh-up effort for fifth just over 5 weeks ago. He has won another trial since then. Don't risk him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Epice Dieu each-way.
