Nothing to run them along here so the pace looks average at best. MR MAGNUS (3) improved again, narrowly beaten at Sandown-Hillside as favourite. He's won and just missed here the two prior and has the first-time blinkers applied. He will be tough to beat. ZOURAIN (9) brings strong city form to resumption and is likely to have come on. He's jumped out twice at Cranbourne and deserves plenty of consideration. ICARUS (2) has a similar profile and has jumped out well. Shinn is a key jockey engagement. SPIONE (5) resumes and his win at Moonee Valley on debut reads well. He will be naturally improved and also has claims in a tricky contest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Mr Magnus.
