Tricky one to map with a number of first starters but over this trip there is good speed anticipated. This is dead set tricky, with debutants engaged from leading stables. The betting should provide a decent guide. SHAQUE D'AMOUR (15) sets the standard. He's placed his last three here and goes in the wet. Stepping up to the longer sprint won't bother, and he has the early speed to clear the awkward barrier. RUINS OF ROME (4) resumes with a 3L defeat at Eagle Farm and was slow away. He also draws awkwardly but has plenty up his sleeve and can feature with average luck. RAGING (9) is a former Victorian who quickly found form, beaten 1.5L at the Sunshine Coast. Fitter and Rodd is a key jockey engagement. WHAT DID YOU SAY (6) debuts for a top metro stable and has been well trialled. Went close in his latest at Deagon, and JGC stays aboard. Draws an inside gate. Ditto MAYBE (10), who debuts, and she also went around in that trial. In the premier barn, and is sure to be well prepared. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Shaque D'amour.
