A solid tempo on the cards with Intruder leading the way. Tricky. MORE FOR READY (3) resumed with a narrow defeat at Doomben and was expected to win at Beaudesert following, beaten 1.5L. Presents fitter and four starts back, she was beaten a nose at Eagle Farm over this longer sprint. That form would see her hard to beat, and she maps for the run of the race. ELROND (1) led and improved sharply beaten narrowly at Doomben and will likely push forward again. Third-up and should get every chance. NATIONAL INTEREST (15) finished a whisker ahead of the above in the same contest, and it was a big effort from a wide barrier. Draws better today and he also has claims. DASHING HOPE (8) will be better for the near miss at the Sunshine Coast, and a 2kg apprentice goes aboard. She should see out the 1350m this time around. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to More For Ready.
