Strong early tempo with Canavese and Taradale leading the way. Tricky. LONE FORCE (10) has needed the two starts back in stronger and should be a lot more competitive today. He has the early speed to clear an outside barrier and will give a sight at his first go on the track. CANAVESE (9) was on speed and easily won at the Gold Coast on debut (heavy track) and was then outgraded in a Group 3 and immediately spelled. Resumes today with Rodd sticking aboard and will be naturally improved. The betting will be key. TARADALE (13) resumes and his Beaudesert Maiden win rates well enough. He brings a trial win from there won a trial win there and is sure to have come on. He maps for the run of the race. MALTALI (15) is busting to win and he had to do it the hard way last time, beaten a nose at the Sunshine Coast. SPEAK NOW (2) will race over longer but has been well-trialled for his return, and performs fresh. Has a 2kg claim in easier and deserves consideration. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Lone Force.
