Genuine tempo with a few of these capable of running them along. Weak. SHADES OF SHERIFF (2) was placed distantly here 7 days ago, stepping up to this distance. He finds a winnable assignment, despite having to carry more weight with Ben Allen replacing the 3kg apprentice. AMAWASHA (1) was well beaten this track/trip three back but went better at Bendigo last time, coming back to 2200m. Has the blinkers on again and gets another chance at the trip. SNORE (3) found one better at Terang over a middle distance and will be fitter again. He has the upside and also shapes as a genuine chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tricky, but Shades Of Sheriff appeals most.
