Genuine tempo with the speedy Aima Sun leading the way.
FALCON OF MALTA (1) was edged out first-up at Ipswich then failed to run on when he looked to have every chance last start over the mile at Doomben. Meets a mediocre lot today so a return to form is on the cards. MATAWAI (2) took over a long way out then dug deep to take out a BM70 over the mile at Toowoomba last time out. Very fit after three runs back so expect her to hold that form. AIMA SUN (8) has led for home then battled on okay at her last couple of runs, both over 1540m on the Gold Coast poly. Should be prominent for a long way under just 54kgs. BOVIDAE (3) has failed to fire in two runs this prep. Generally hits form at this stage of the campaign. Nicely drawn and with a couple of gear changes might show a bit more today. VACILLATION (4) returned in good order at Gatton last start. Loves racing here so from a good gate he makes plenty of appeal despite a class rise. SUGGESTED PLAY: Falcon Of Malta to bounce back.
