Strong tempo likely with several going forward, headed by A Shin Gaudi and Alsafi. HIFUMI BANDAM (4) showed good early speed then led into the straight last start before fighting on to finish second, beaten 1.5 lengths, over 1800m at this track. Well-placed and could prove tough to run down. A SHIN GAUDI (8) used the inside draw to advantage last start, sitting on the pace and going on to score over 1800m at this track last time out. Junki Mochizuki who has scored on him five times retains the mount. Should be in the finish. ALSAFI (7) returned from a spell two weeks ago when he was prominent at the bend before finishing fourth over 1400m at this track. Has a fair record when second up, including three top-three finishes. Meets some better types this time but can make amends. MILAN MILAN (2) proved too strong two runs ago but couldn't follow that up last time out when third over 1800m at this track. Expect a better run this time.
