Pace genuine with Rule Of Salex and Testing The Cugat pressing hard closely followed by Avonview and Captains Choice. AVONVIEW (3) looks nicely placed having just found one better last start at Mornington. That followed a win at Kilmore the start prior. Only needs to hold that form to be winning once more. RULE OF SALEX (10) returns from a short break after a minor placing over 2030m at Mornington a month ago. He's had a tune-up trial in between and should be right there again. TESTING THE CUGAT (9) pushed forward from a wide draw last start and kept going to win by one length over 2007m at Kilmore. Stringing two together has been a problem but he's well placed off the last effort. WINTER GRACE (5) hasn't won in a while but should be ready for improvement up to 2200m now, respecting. SUGGESTED PLAY: Avonview to win.
