Expecting Sir Maverick to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. MADAME KLEPTOMANE (7) has been near enough this prep, and she was a game fourth at Te Rapa last start when racing on the speed before sticking on gamely over 1600m at Te Rapa. She looks suited here, and she goes on top for us. ROCKA PHILLY (8) resumed with a fair effort at Hawera over 1400m and will have taken benefit from that outing. She strips fitter second up on her home track, and her stable is in form. Each-way. PIKO BISCUIT (3) has been improving in this prep and he hasn't been far away. He is peaking at the right time, and he should be included in all combos. HOPINGFORA BEAUTY (9) showed good speed when resuming, working forward from a wide draw before peaking late to finish close up in fourth place over 1600m at Hawera. She benefits from a 2kg claim, so stick with her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rocka Philly each-way.
