Slick tempo with Diamonds'n'rubies to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. MT SHIRATAKU (3) trialled well coming into this campaign but was grabbed late in a photo finish first-up 14 days ago. He hasn't won for a while now but has only had 3 wins since his last win. Should be fitter for that effort and this looks to shape nicely for him. Can go one better this time around. ACORN (4) is better than he showed last time out when 3.7L off the winner. He comes through the same race as Go Go Grommet and Pike sticks with him. Drops in weight and an improved showing is expected. BARTIME (5) is better than he showed last start and can bounce back with the drop in trip. DIAMONDS'N'RUBIES (11) will find this tougher but rates well on her last start effort. SUGGESTED PLAY: Mt Shirataku can reverse the result of his first-up run.
