Plenty of speed with Master Spy, Star Major and Diogenes leading Hazy Dazy and Jan Van Goyen. Top class race where NOTE TO SELF (6) looks to have returned in fine order. Ran well fresh and fitter. Extra trip a plus and was Grade 1 placed in the Cape Derby this trip two back. Hard to beat. STAR MAJOR (11) was a Grade 2 winner fresh and was fourth behind Wish List in the Grade 1 Cape Derby two back. Fitter and will go close again. JAN VAN GOYEN (7) just missed fresh. Two time Grade 1 winner including one here. Among the top chances. HAPPY VERSE (9) finished fourth when resuming from a spell last start over 1600m at this track. This sets up nicely.
