GOING: S(5)

QUIRINDI RURAL HERITAGE VILLAGE CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1100m

Track: SOFT 6   Clear (Max: 25)   Rail: True.

Bonoyster, Whispering Muriel and Under The Collar all possess good speed. BONOYSTER (9) continues to race well without winning. Handy enough on the turn but found a couple better last start over today's distance at Scone. Enjoys the gun run from the inside alley and this looks his breakthrough race. SIR HERRIDAH (4) was an impressive maiden winner first-up over this distance then didn't appreciate going back to 1000m last time at Muswellbrook. Tricky gate to overcome but he is a key contender back up to 1100m. IMPERIAL STATE (1) has transferred to the Craig Martin stable and is back from a ten-month spell. Won at Gosford early last prep over today's journey. No trials to use as a guide so keep an eye on the betting. FARNCIFUL (7) made it three top three finishes from as many runs this prep when an eye-catching third over 1000m at Muswellbrook last start. Looking for the extra 100m now. Definite contender. CURRUMBIN ALLEY (2) is right in the mix coming back in distance off a seven-week let-up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bonoyster to grab a well-deserved win.
