No surprise if the first starters played a key role in the tempo of the race with little speed on paper. HELL TO THE LINE (5) closed off strongly last start to get up for second, beaten one length, over 1680m at Ipswich. Gary Geran stays aboard and although yet to win has been in the money on four occasions. Sure to play a big role. SONIC FLYER (11) is going well with two minor placings from three starts this campaign. Continued the trend last start when runner-up over 1650m at Beaudesert after she was in the firing line all the way. Has the ability to build on that encouraging effort last start. TIGERMOTH (3) produced a solid effort last time when fourth over 1310m at Ballina after he was up on the pace all the way. Won't be bothered by this longer journey and rates among the winning hopes. READY TO DRINK (9) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1300m at Gold Coast, beaten 5 lengths. Fitter now so can figure in the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hell To The Line to go one better.
